Today was active and varied. Our options included kayak tours and Zodiac rides in the mangrove channels of Magdalena Bay in the morning. This peaceful adventure yielded many species of herons and shorebirds. Back on board, we had glimpses of gray whales as we transited north in the narrow and shallow Hull Canal. In the afternoon we stopped to walk in the dunes and were greeted by a curious coyote. Some of the guests walked across to the Pacific Ocean and then remained on the dunes for sunset, accompanied by chilled champagne as the sky changed colors and then faded.
